Julia & John's Terrain at Styer's Wedding

A unique and wholesome wedding photography experience for my couples has always been my priority. I genuinely care and believe in establishing a bond with all of them. When my happy couples recommend me to their friends or family, I feel like I haven't just done a good job as a photographer but as a human being too. This is what I felt again when Julia and John reached out to me to be their wedding photographer. It was so special and meant a lot to me since I had photographed her sister Chloe's wedding earlier this year. And that's not it. I was also the photographer at her cousin Tori's wedding. When I arrived to photograph Julia and John's wedding at the Terrain at Styer's in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, it was like going back to my family.

Terrain at Styer's Wedding Photography

Julia and John's choice of wedding venue was amazing! I had always wanted to shoot a wedding there, and all thanks to my lovely couple, my wish finally came true. The Terrain at Styer's was beautiful, and I had a great time working with the fantastic team there. . The venue is located on the historic site of J. Franklin Styer's nursery and has been a Philadelphia landmark for over a century. It had gorgeous blooms and greenery along with so many historic spaces. And, of course, the most picturesque backdrops for wedding photography! If any one of you is looking for a wedding venue in Philadelphia with abundant greenery, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Terrain.

Photographing Julia and John's wedding was fun throughout. The day was just so full of love and joy. And it was so wonderful to be surrounded by so many familiar and happy faces! Chloe was the Maid of Honor as well as the officiant for the beautiful ceremony. One of the most memorable (and sweetest) things from the wedding was that despite doing a first look, John still got so emotional when he saw Julia walking down the aisle with her father. After the wedding, Julia told me that the first look was one of her favorite moments, while John said Julia's walk down the aisle was his.

The other memorable moments for John were sharing cigars with his guys under the temple and dancing to Red Alert, who had performed at his oldest sister's wedding 15 years ago. For Julia, it was the time she spent in the mushroom house with her bridesmaids before the ceremony and when she shared a dance with her family. Honestly, my heart just melted when I saw Julia bring her mom and sister to join the dance with her father. I loved how the traditional father-daughter dance turned into such a cute family moment. And the speeches were so heartwarming too. I could just see how much Julia and John were loved by their people.
